Julie Stewart

Julie Stewart

Julie established Stewart Law Solicitors in 2004. Prior to that, she worked in the City for eight years in two large international law firms (Freshfields and Nabarro) where she practised employment law, pensions law and employee benefits law. She is a senior lawyer with extensive experience in all areas of employment law. Julie acts for a range of household names as well as employees and directors at varying levels. She is a trustee of a national charity which provides occupational health services and sits on the Board of Directors of a local residents association. She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. Julie speaks a number of foreign languages and has a BA Honours degree and an MA in law from Cambridge University.

Andrew Jenkins

Andrew is a Paralegal at Stewart Law Solicitors. He joined the firm in July 2016, having graduated in law from the University of Nottingham. He is an integral part of our legal team. He works closely with Julie, our wider fee earning team and with our clients. He assists with our non-contentious and contentious legal work. He frequently liaises with clients and barristers' chambers, as well as undertaking drafting and wider tasks, as each file demands. Andrew has a keen interest in debating. Whilst at Nottingham, he made it past over 450 participants to take part in the Semi-finals of the European Universities Debating Championships. Andrew has undertaken work for various charitable organisations, including Farleigh Hospice and DebateMate, a charity which sends students to those schools, which have a high proportions of under-privileged children to teach English, communication and critical thinking skills. Andrew is also a qualified Football Association referee. He spends his spare time running around a muddy pitch and putting his communication skills to good advantage!

Roseanna Girling

Rosie is a Paralegal/Legal Assistant at Stewart Law Solicitors. She studied A-Level law at Mayflower High School before joining the firm in October 2015. Rosie provides legal support in all aspects of our fee earning work, as well as giving wider support to our team as a whole. She works particularly closely with our Practice Manager, Goran Stewart, in assisting him with our client billing, credit control and internal accounting functions. Rosie has a wide experience in face-to-face, client based environments, having previously worked in the retail and leisure sectors. Rosie is responsible for general administrative duties in the main office and is the first point of contact for many of our clients. She provides a diligent, warm and personable level of service.

Goran Stewart

Goran Stewart

Goran is our firm's Practice Manager. He is responsible for all aspects of the firm's day to day management, with specific responsibility for client care, billing and other accounting matters. Prior to joining Stewart Law Solicitors, Goran had built up a long-standing and impressive career in account management within the retail and IT sectors. Goran was responsible at a senior level for the management of a number of well-known, high value and extremely prestigious clients, including Harrods, Selfridges, Marks & Spencer, PC World and Dixons. He worked as an extension to their teams and was extensively involved in product design and development through to manufacturing (both within the UK and overseas), supply and product launch with related costing and pricing structures. Goran managed and trained employees within his own in-house teams and also provided on site training to his clients' employees. Goran has a comprehensive understanding of IT systems and speaks Serbo-Croat fluently.

Lara Knighton

Lara Knighton

Lara is the PA to Julie and Goran. She also provides occasional administrative and secretarial support to John and Lisa. Lara has extensive knowledge of our business and liaises with all of our clients and suppliers. She is a very safe pair of hands. She has operated at a senior secretarial level within the legal world and the commercial sector for several years now. Lara commenced her career in Germany where she worked for the Armed Forces for four years. She worked as the PA to High Ranking Officers and had typing and other responsibilities in connection with restricted and secret material. She then moved back to the United Kingdom and joined a law firm where she worked as a Litigation Secretary on High Court, County Court and other work. She continued to progress through her career, working as a Legal Secretary within the fields of personal injury and probate. She then spent two years with BP providing senior level support to a team of 14 before joining Stewart Law Solicitors in August 2008.

Chelsey Harvey

Chelsey is a Junior Legal Secretary at Stewart Law Solicitors. She joined the firm in October 2016. She is responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to our team on a day to day basis. Chelsey is responsible for maintaining relationships and liaising with our suppliers, general maintenance of the office and the management of our internal archiving system. Chelsey went to Havering College of Further and Higher Education in Hornchurch. She completed a CILEX Level 3 Legal Secretarial course in 2015. Chelsey went on to work in various Law Firms in London, including Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Clyde & Co, as well as the Joint Contracts Tribunal. Chelsey is highly motivated, quick to learn and focused on delivering quality administrative/secretarial support to our team.
